Providing Support from Concept to Installation

We understand the pressures that specifiers face in the fast-paced design world, and in particular, the fact that landscape is often one of the last considerations on a project.

We are committed to making your life simpler and easier – fully supporting you from initial ideas to education on best practice tree planting and LID/SUDS design through our CPD & Webinars to assisting on site with the installation – and all free of charge.

Early involvement with a project is very helpful in our experience – the earlier tree planting opportunities are considered, the more likely long-term success is. GreenBlue Urban have worked closely with all disciplines involved for over quarter of a century, and are uniquely positioned to help you achieve your design intentions. Our policy has long been to work collaboratively with local authorities, civil engineers and landscape architects to enable every tree planted in an urban setting to have the ability to meet its species potential.

Working with the designers through the process, we offer a CAD design service, with standard CAD and PDF tree pit designs to download including LID / SuDS offering a variety of planting scenarios.  BIM objects are available via Revit and have further developed our offering with our Online Tree Pit Configurator, by which you can design a tree pit with full product breakdown in just a few clicks.

We are highly experienced in assessing early design sketches to calculate the potential siting of trees on a development. Often areas which have been historically thought to be no-go areas can be exploited with the latest GreenBlue Urban RootSpace soil cell technology. Many podium decks and over planting of below ground structures have been made possible by the use of GreenBlue Urban products, resulting in a greener, more pleasant area in which we work, live and play.

StrataCells enable podium planting at Gillespie’s award winning design – Crossrail, Canary Wharf.

Technical Consultants are available on the phone, by email, or at your offices at all times, giving assistance as and when needed. We also offer free support at Design Team meetings where the complexities of below ground constraints can be misunderstood.

Once the tender packages have been distributed, GreenBlue Urban are available to visit and quote all of the tenderers to assist them in understanding the systems specified. This service is strongly recommended as often tenderers are under pressure to get their prices in, and overlook details, which can delay installation.

Once the project is on the ground, GreenBlue Urban are pleased to make contact with main contractors, and the chosen installing contractor(s), to reduce installation time and onsite confusion. Ensuring that the build program has sufficient room to allow belowground and above ground products to be installed at the correct time is vital. This scheduling assistance helps with this and has been warmly accepted by the industry.

When the tree pit has been excavated, GreenBlue site engineers are always glad to attend site and assist with the first tree pit installation. On some particularly complex projects, GreenBlue Urban site engineers have been in attendance at all times to guarantee fast and accurate installation, and to remove unnecessary downtime. Our installation videos display the simplicity of the ArborSystem.

Finally, GreenBlue Urban will sign off tree pits as correctly installed, where the above site installation assistance has been carried out. This service means that the responsibility for the installation is ours, your scheme has the best opportunity to be an outstanding success, and by working together, we will be providing the healthy urban landscape for future generations that is critical for our towns and cities.
